SSKAL Catch-up

Hello, lovely knitters!

Summer is zooming by, and while I’ve been busy with my needles, and some programming tasks, it’s been tough to stay at the computer for a second longer than necessary! My garden has been a definite joy this year:

And I’ve been having a complete blast with the boys, soaking up the sun and road-tripping on the weekends. And while needles have been in my hands pretty constantly, I have to say I haven’t finished that many garments! Instead, I’ve been obsessed with swatching some of the yumminess I have in store for the fall, and projects even further out than that.

I do have one more #sskal sweater for you all, though – I’m calling it “Zinger” and I finally got buttons sewn on after procrastinating for weeks.

August 15 marks the start of the next KAL (Fall Festival sweaters! My favorite!), but until then I’ve been thoroughly enjoying all of the breezy summer knits popping up in the Ravelry thread. (Check out the laceweight sweater someone knit for her fiance,! It’s one of the most amazing things I’ve seen in awhile.)

I’m probably on track to finish another 2 sweaters by the end of the KAL, both for the make. wear. love. fall retreat in September. I’m nearly done with one (out of the incredibly divine Rosy Green Wool), and I’m knitting another for the Ravellenic Games (team smart-ass world-dominating knitters of dooooooom, naturally, since I’m using Indigodragonfly Cariboubaa for the garment.)

Are you still summer knitting-a-long? Share your projects here and on FB, Twitter, or Instagram – and we’ll do a round-up after the 15th!

  1. I hope you will be selling the pattern for the “Zinger” sweater. It is something I would wear everyday!!!

  2. Never mind! Just saw it is on your website. :-/
