Shore Ledges is the sweater I want to wear for a day on the water. It’s warm, soft, and enveloping… …but flattering and tailored, too. The deep V-neck and long, belled sleeves are trimmed in crisp seed stitch, and the length and construction of the sweater pair perfectly with the incredible sheen and drape of the merino-silk blend.

There are nice touches, but the pullover is fundamentally relaxed and completely unpretentious. It looks equally great with jeans, a skirt, or a great pair of cords.

Indigodragonfly’s Merino Silk DK is a luscious and luxurious yarn. It moves like a dream, wears beautifully, and it’s the perfect pairing for the effortlessly relaxed look of this sweater. Should you decide to substitute, you’ll need approximately 880 (967, 1052, 1128, 1202, 1287, 1381, 1455, 1580, 1690, 1804, 1946) yds/ 804 (884, 961, 1031, 1098, 1176, 1261, 1329, 1444, 1544, 1648, 1778) m.

Shore Ledges offers great options for all body types. As written, the wide neckline, super-long sleeves, and long sweater length make a proportional figure shine. Bottom-heavy shapes might consider shortening the sleeves and/ or the sweater. Top-heavy shapes might consider narrowing the neckline.

Vertical darts enable easy customization to fit your needs. Should you desire less waist shaping than specified, either omit the shaping rows entirely, or omit/reduce only the shaping on the front of the sweater. Bustier women can work more increases on the front of the sweater, and not in the back. Extra stitches should be decreased into the neckline.

As with all patterns, compare the schematic against your own measurements and make alterations as necessary. Or, for the first time, create your own Shore Ledges without doing any math at all by using the CustomFit recipe included in the pattern. Your choice!
