This sweet cardigan is trimmed front, back, and sleeves with delicate lace panels. The lace dips deep on the back of the sweater, with narrower bands at the front shoulders and a thick stripe of lace at the end of the sleeves.

Cayley features a scooped neck, waist shaping and set in sleeves, and cute buttons up and down the front. It is worked from the bottom up in separate pieces and sewn together. The lace pattern is given in chart form only. Narrow garter stitch bands finish all edges.

The lace patterns balance one another out and leave lots of Stockinette Stitch in the middle of the cardigan for easy modification. The sleeves may be easily lengthened or shortened, as can the body of the sweater, to achieve a flattering look. It uses vertical darts for waist shaping and can be easily modified for your individual needs.
