Moscato is a sweet, simple-looking pullover with some fun tailored touches. The wide neckline is slightly draped, and the hem of the sweater, sleeves, and shoulders are all trimmed with fun button accents.
Simple Garter Stitch trims the edges of this pullover, tabbed on the front and sleeves to show off your favorite buttons and add some interest to the classic shape. It is knit in pieces from the bottom up and then seamed. The button tabs on the sleeves and front hem are created by casting on two pieces separately, and then joining them in the Stockinette portion.
Sweet Georgia’s Merino Silk Fine is an incredible yarn with a soft hand, a slight sheen, and a fluid drape. It’s just the right choice for such a special sweater. Should you choose to substitute yarn, you should pick something equally fluid to ensure the neckline folds appropriately. You’ll need approximately 735 (832, 891, 977, 1060, 1153, 1226, 1325, 1423, 1529, 1637, 1804) yds/672 (760, 814, 892, 968, 1053, 1120, 1210, 1300, 1396, 1495, 1647) m.
Moscato offers great options for all body types. As written, the wide neckline, combined with the wide, eye-catching hem treatment make a proportional figure shine. The buttoned elbow-length sleeves make the most of your curves by drawing the eye to the waist. Top-heavy shapes might consider lengthening both the sweater and the sleeves; bottom-heavy shapes might consider shortening the sweater slightly or working a plain Garter Stitch hem.
Vertical darts enable easy customization to fit your needs. Should you desire less waist shaping than specified, either omit the shaping rows entirely, or omit/reduce only the shaping on the front of the sweater. Bustier women can work more increases on the front of the sweater, and not in the back. Extra stitches should be decreased into the neckline.
As with all patterns, compare the schematic against your own measurements and make alterations as necessary.

Which should you choose? It depends on whether you’re typically comfortable knitting (and modifying) a pattern as written, or whether you’d really like to get instructions that fit you well with no modification required.
