Description: Top-heavy shapes look great in long, clean vertical lines, and this “multiple choice” vest/cardigan pattern is all about them. While the texture of the collar panels allow the sweater to fall smoothly over the body and minimize a thicker middle, the vertical waist shaping keeps the sweater from looking boxy.

Designed for: Top-heavy shapes

Modification ideas: Remember, you look best in clothes you love. That said, to keep in line with the Fit to Flatter system, Proportional shapes might consider making the bottom of the lapels even with the main body of the sweater by casting on the entire bottom at once rather than working the specified increases. Bottom-heavy knitters might consider shortening the lapels and also widening the neckline a bit, or shortening the sleeves.
